Our marketing efforts are done utilizing AI for programmatic marketing that effectively maximizes spend and targets our demographic with precise intent signaling.

At OpenText I played a pivotal role in planning and executing the global SEO strategy. Our team oversaw 10+ international websites and subdomains, each with its own unique approach tailored to their audience and market. Leading cross-functional teams, I implemented SEO best practices and conducted regular trainings and coaching sessions for key stakeholders.
Despite operating in the B2B space, I consistently drove innovation by exploring new channels. Collaborating on projects involving video content, thought leadership initiatives, and strategic link-building efforts, I expanded our customer base and enhanced our online presence. These endeavors not only strengthened our brand visibility but also fostered meaningful engagement with our target audience.
My contributions to OpenText's SEO efforts were characterized by a forward-thinking mindset and a dedication to staying ahead of industry trends. By leveraging my expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, I played an instrumental role in driving organic growth and maximizing our digital impact.
January 2017 - September 2019
I was in charge of developing IKEA's national SEO strategy from the ground up, and defining what SEO meant for the retail giant in Canada. I was the first of few SEO specialists in IKEA internationally who helped create not only their national strategy, but also the larger international SEO strategy by collaborating with peers across the globe. I played a key role in advocating for the needs of the Canadian market, as well as the needs for SEO across the business. I regularly presented to all levels within the company, including company executives and the president of IKEA Canada. I developed strategies that included key stakeholders and helped to redefine how sales strategies and communications were approached. Using search behaviour insights and leveraging the organic search channel, sales periods and communications were forever changed to better address the needs expressed by consumers through their search behaviour. Through my passion for SEO, and dedication to put SEO on the map, SEO became IKEA's largest online sales channel, pulling over $100 million in my final year with the company.
September 2015 - December 2016
At Vestra Inet I helped build our SEO and content team that was dedicated to delivering quality results for our large list of SMB clientele. I interviewed, hired, and trained our team to deliver strong results in both content creation and SEO optimization. We improved organic search performance across the board for our clients, and consistently delivered a strong performance to keep our clients happy and loyal. As the manager of the team I created an open environment for sharing ideas and innovating, which allowed team members to learn new skills and hone their unique talents within the team.
January 2023 to Present
GUPA is a non-profit sports league for players in the Guelph Region. As the head of Communications, I completely overhauled our website from the ground up single-handedly. We now have multiple formats for contacting the board, and I help to provide a seamless experience for players to find our leagues and contribute to the community. I also handle all of our outward communications (email newsletters, social media, promotional material) and have helped to bring membership up dramatically since joining in early 2023, as the pandemic really hit active participation. I'm also active in running tournaments and increasing profits through merchandise sales.
October 2019 - March 2020
With Technovation Girls I helped mentor a group of 5 teenage girls while they went through their project of creating an app, from ideation to execution. I helped them throughout the process, mentoring them and guiding them towards their goals in order to meet deadlines, as well as execute on their innovative ideas. Unfortunuately due to COVID-19 restrictions our season together was cut short, however I look forward to regularly supporting and volunteering with Technovation Girls for years to come.
January 2013 to September 2015
While volunteering with Carousel, I ran the poetry section of our magazine. I lead a team of editors and coordinated meetings and promotional events to help bolster interest for both sales and for garnering new volunteers. My team oversaw the adjudication of over 100 poetry submissions for each bi-annual publication, and met tight deadlines to get our selections to print. During my time with Carousel I helped improve volunteer membership five-fold, and oversaw one of our most successful promotional launches.
These projects are among my more recent, or most notable highlights that show my dedication to my craft. Each project has been a learning opportunity, as well as a chance to really define how effective digital experiences can help grow a business.
These are amongst my greatest achievements within my professional career. I continue to strive and innovate, pushing what is possible within the SEO space.
In 2025 I took the leap to becoming a leader in marketing, navigating every step of the process from design, to conception, to execution for my clients. I've helped multiple clients vastly improve their digital presence, aiding them in growing their traffic to over 5 times their previous volume, driving true converting leads, and helping them over 10x their marketing ROI.
Using a modest budget, I expanded our audience base and brand to new customers by comissioning videos that spoke to our brand values in compelling ways. Across YouTube and LinkedIn the campaign hit over 3 million impressions, and had a strong view rate of 40%. This resulted in over 9,000 clicks to our website.
Received two awards in recognition for my work on EDI Basics, the thought leadership microsite that provided a unique SEO-first approach to lead generation for OpenText. By utilizing SEO to rank highly for thought leadership terms in the industry, I was able to attract individuals from a notable Fortune 500 company who later became one of our largest clients of our EDI software.
Planned, managed and succeeded in over-delivering on a $14.2 million business plan for the web and digital function at IKEA. The business plan was solely on SEO deliverables that would improve our search visibility and explore new web formats within the organic search channel.
Exceeded goal by delivering 30% year-over-year in organic search sales for my final year at IKEA Canada. This amounted to an over $100 million sales channel, with a strategy that was prepared and overseen by myself, with support from my team.
Improved organic search visitation by over 300% for our client base of 50+ SMB clients at during my role as manager of the SEO and Content team at Vestra Inet.
